How I Shot It: Photography Tutorial 54

When you want to light up the snow, but not the whole alley, slap on a MagMod MagGrid!

How it was done:

  • Settings: f/2.8, ISO 100, shutter 1/200th
  • There is one light behind the couple with one MagMod MagGrid. Flash was set at about 1/8th.
  • Light is pointed straight on, about shoulder height, and was set up 10 feet away to still get a nice spread of lit up snow.
  • The rest is natural light, which is helped by the reflection of the alley ground and walls, the open shade of the alley, and the bride’s white dress.
